Formally created in 1997, the National Consortium of Directors of Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender Resources in Higher Education has a mission to seek equity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students, faculty, staff, and administrators.

UW-Madison Ten Percent Society
The Ten Percent Society (TPS) was founded in 1983, and as a registered student organization, it provides educational, social and cultural opportunities for students, faculty and staff. The TPS works to eliminate university-sponsored discrimination based on sexual orientation.
